Kesavan Sivarajan

Kesavan Sivarajan, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother peacefully passed away on 28 Nov 2025 at home surrounded by family at the age of 95. He is survived by his wife (Madhuram), his two children (Lekha, Rajesh), his son-in-law (John), his three grandchildren (Dillon, Arjun, Pooja), his brother (Thayagarajan), and numerous extended family members. He is predeceased by his former daughter-in-law (Desma) who remained a valued part of the family.

Kesavan started working in the Indian Foreign Service at the age of 29 and married at the age of 33. He was stationed in East Pakistan (Bangladesh), Ceylon (Sri Lanka), Burma (Myanmar), and the US. It was on this final posting that he retired and his family settled in the US in 1977. He was a big part of raising his grandson (Dillon) who he lived with for Dillon's first 25 years. He worked to bring many extended family members to the US.

He was an active member of community and religious groups, he last attended an event four weeks ago. He enjoyed spending time with family and visiting old friends. He was a big part of the daily activities of the household and took care of himself with daily exercise.

His memory will live on in the many hearts that he touched over the years.

Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral service for Kesavan Sivarajan at Hines-Rinaldi Funeral Home on Saturday, December 6, from 10 AM - 12 PM.
