

Leslie was born on May 29, 1926 to Leslie A. and Margaret (Breckenridge) Skinner and was raised in an army family. She lived in the Philippines, Hawaii, Missouri, California to name a few. Leslie graduated from high school in Pasadena, CA and went on to study in Stephens Junior College, Missouri.
Walter Jagiello met Leslie when she was visiting West Point Military Academy in New York. They kept in touch, saw each other few times before he graduated from USMA in 1945. Walter proposed to Leslie in a letter while he was on a tour of duty in Europe, she accepted and they were married November 20, 1948 in Pasadena, CA.
Leslie and Walter had five children. During Walter’s military career the family lived in Ft Knox, KY, Wildflecken and Frankfurt, Germany, Ft. Ord, California, retired in 1966 at Ft Meade MD. After retirement the family moved to Silver Spring MD.
Besides her love of family, Leslie had fond memories living at Scholefield Barracks, Oahu, Hawaii as a pre-teen and loved to swim. She enjoyed classical music, ballet performances, the tv Food Channel and most favorite food was lobster. Leslie was kind, funny, generous and everyone she met liked her.
Leslie was predeceased by her husband Walter in 1994, daughter Leslie (James) Winters in 1988, her brother Breck Skinner in 2017 and both parents.
Leslie is survived by her children Margaret (Bob, dec’d) Frazer, Marian (David) Clark, Ellen (Domenick, dec’d) Bellia, Walter (Karen) Jagiello. Leslie leaves behind 12 grandchildren Paul (Angela) Frazer, Breck (Neera) Frazer, Lauren (Kris) Fragerlin, Nicholas (Gina) Bellia, Lindsay Clark (James Swayze), Heather (Michael) Bostetter, George (Erin) Winters and Leslie Winters, Mason (April) Moon, Justyn (CJ) Lord, Carter (Ophelia) Politano, Kendal Politano. Leslie leaves 10 great-grandchildren, Domenick and Vincent Bellia, Brooke Fagerlin, Ronan Bostetter, August and Gideon Winters, Kaelyn and Colin Lord, Kayden Politano, Charli Politano.
Leslie had a long, blessed life, her loss is deeply felt by all those who knew and loved her.
Services celebrating the life of Leslie Skinner Jagiello will be held Saturday, February 1, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Riderwood Chapel, 3148 Gracefield Road, Silver Spring, MD. The family will receive friends at 10:30 a.m. prior to funeral service. Burial will be held at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrier Project.
