Martin Bernstein was a bright light loving  caring to all who knew him.  His family his friends knew him knew his core of his life were them.  We all are grieving he is that broght warm light shining from heaven   Martin  Marty will be missed here with all of us know he is loving us from up high 

Marty is was a friend for a long time time something that I will cherish.  As all of us to thonk.of the memories it helps when grieving

Marty was a Lakeside friend of my cousin, Janice Siegel.
They worked on together on getting the traffic light at on Columbia Pike and Powell Lane. They shopped together, helped arrange 
community events at Lakeside and Marty helped Janice navigate
the challenges of a new computer program.  In exchange Janice drove Marty to the food stores local shopping,  Lakeside dinners  and lunches.  I came to know Marty as well and everything that was said of his kindness, wit and wonderful personality at the Lakeside memorial for him is true.  
I remember him  now during Rosh Hashanah and in our memorial service prayers.  His life was truly a blessing to so many.

Hearing this shocking news about Marty passing the world is dimmer.  He wS a long time friend since living in Stamford CT as neighbors to present.  He loved his family and friends.  He is deeply missed by all.

In writing this message of sympathy to Marty’s family and friends on the anniversary of 9/11 and a few days after the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, I think her words on that day of America’s grief are fitting: “Grief is the price we pay for love.”  Marty, who was the best man at my cousin Marti’s wedding, was a large reason my husband Rowland and I moved to Lakeside Plaza in 1990 (and have lived here since).  Marty always made you feel like you were the most important person in the room. Whenever we would go out to dinner with him, Marty would always disappear for a few minutes to thank a member of the staff and introduce himself.  As much as he loved his many friends, his family remained at the center of his life.  With love always, Dawn and Rowland Brohawn

I can't imagine living at Lakeside Plaza without Marty Bernstein being here.  It's hard to accept that I won't see him here again.  He was so sweet and so funny and I loved to be in his presence.  I will miss him so much.
