Maurica Cooper

Maurica was preceded in death by beloved husband of over 60 years, Morton Cooper, cherished son, David Cooper, daughter-in-law Susan Wolpert Cooper and son-in-law, Barry Rose. She was a loving mother to Steven (Susan) Cooper and Carol Rose. She was a devoted grandmother to Ben Rose, Laura (Rory Howe) Rose, Gary (Adina Klingman) Rose, Daniel Cooper, Robbie (Kim Wiltshire) Cooper, Rebecca (Evan) Berger, Jacob (Niki Knee) Cooper and Zachary Cooper. She is also survived by great grandchildren Charlie, Maddox, Cecilia, Daphne, Sean, Genevieve, Kristopher and Dani. Maurica was a native of Newport News, Va. and a former resident of Silver Spring, MD as well as North Canton, OH. Funeral services and a private burial were held at Judean Memorial Gardens in Olney, MD. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at the Waterfalls of Catonsville, as well as longtime caregiver Natesha Lewis, who took extraordinary care of Maurica for the past several years. The family requests memorial contributions be made to either Gilchrist Hospice (gilchristcares.org) or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
