Born in Fuzhou, Fujian Province, China, Muk worked as a seamen on merchant ships based out of Hong Kong before eventually settling in New York, where he built a life and career as a restaurateur.
Muk was an avid reader and loved playing mahjong. He will be remembered for his gentle kindness, warm smile, and bellowing laughter that filled the room.
He is survived by his loving wife, Chi Ying Tong; his three children, Hiu, Michael, and Jenny; daughter-in-law: Nina; son-in-law: Murray; and five cherished grandchildren: Isabelle, Christina, Alicia, Ethan and Emma.
Though our hearts are broken, his love, strength, and spirit will remain with us always.
