On June 28, 2015, Pearl Shields of Silver Spring, MD died peacefully at Montgomery General Hospital. She was the wife of the late Harold J. Shields, Sr.; daughter of the late Willie and Cora Green; mother of Dr. Harold J. Shields, Jr., Sandra S. Moxley, Carolyn S. Johnson and the late Patricia S. Gardner; grandmother of eight; great-grandmother of seven; predeceased brother William; two sisters, Lillian and Catherine; and a close cousin, Leon. She is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Friends may call at the Hines-Rinaldi Funeral Home, 11800 New Hampshire Ave., Silver Spring, MD on Monday, July 6, 2015 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at People's Community Baptist Church, 31 Norwood Rd., Silver Spring, MD 20905 from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Parklawn Memorial Park, Rockville, MD.
