Purita Fallurin Lugue

Purita was born September 5, 1940, in Manila, Philippines. Purita immigrated to the United States in 1980 where she worked her way up to become a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) working in the Washington, DC area. Purita also worked hard to obtain American citizenship eventually obtaining naturalization in 1987. Purita was a loving wife and mother who was loved just as much by her family. When she was still able to, Purita enjoyed sewing and taking care of her plants at their home in Washington.

An 11am viewing and 12pm funeral service will be held at Hines-Rinaldi Funeral Home (11800 New Hampshire Ave, Silver Spring, MD 20904) Monday, June 9, 2025, followed by a procession to Gate of Heaven Catholic Cemetery (13801 Georgia Avenue, Silver Spring, MD 20906) where she will be laid to rest. A reception will follow at Hines-Rinaldi. For those unable to attend the funeral service, a livestream link will be provided for viewing.
