We met in 2018 when I joined Hope Christian Church but we bonded more when I joined HCC's wives' club as you were also a member yourself. We exchanged numbers and then we started calling and texting each other a lot. Only yesterday, I was going over our texts and fortunately for me I still have our texts from 2019 till Dec 25, 2025 which was sadly the last time I sent and received a text from you. Reading our texts was bittersweet for me. I laughed at many funny things you said/sent me, you had a great sense of humor&I wept at the many matters we shared with each other and the realization that it's the end here.
As a daughter&wife, I attest on what I saw that you were such a faithful child of God and a dutiful and loving wife. You delighted in serving our Most High God and it was evident in the way you prayed, the way you studied the Bible, your service to humanity (from your job with special needs children which you did for many years, to your service in church as an usher, etc) and as a wife, you delighted in spending quality time with dad Howard, you were always there for him&you always spoke highly of him to me. You were very real and shared with me personal details on how you two had come a long way to where you both reached of 45 years of a successful marriage.
As a mom, you were so loving, so caring &consistent in your Godly principles. 
You loved all your 3 children fiercely& you even extended that to me that I felt like I of your children.🥰
You were quite the artist - so creative, stylish yet fashionable.😊 Your dress sense was always colorful and classy; you liked to decorate and reorganize places&you would send me pictures.
You were such a generous woman. You were generous with your time and talents (cooking, designing, serving others, etc).
As your health declined, I didn't see you again after a while but we would occasionally communicate via text and I prayed daily for your healing.😔 I love you&will forever miss you 🥺😢

This was October 23rd 2022, a day before my birthday with mom Royel, Ms. Tasnim and Ms. Dana my awesome friends. 

In my life, mom Royel actively planned with others a baby shower for me when I was expecting my last child, she always recognized my birthday and together with our lovely friends mutual friends above, she planned a birthday outing for me at a lovely restaurant. I will never forget it.

This was October 24, 2021, it was my birthday and after the church service - with mom Royel.

As a mother, mom Royel was so loving, so caring and consistent in your Godly principles. 
She loved all her 3 children fiercely and she even extended that to me that I felt like I was one of her children. She also loved and was so proud of her grandchildren. I remember how  she used to share their great strides with me and we would rejoice together; I remember she you would war in prayers on behalf of her children and grandchildren if they were dealing with any personal struggles/battles and she would enlist my prayer support too; she was big on birthdays and festivities so I remember how she would buy gifts, send money or cook her delicacies (she was such a great cook) in celebration of birthdays of family and friends as well as during Christmas. I smile as I remember the pictures she would send me of foods she made, family gatherings, etc. Before she started battling with health struggles of her own, she was always a big part of celebratory moments of others. She certainly always recognized my birthday in special ways 😔

Mom Royel would take me to stores with her that way I got to be out and about while still spending quality time with her; she offered me rides home from church on some occasions too. I remember how she would cook and take food to family or friends going through health struggles, she did that a lot for a mutual friend of ours up until she sadly passed 😔. Speaking of that dear friend's passing, I remember that it was mom Royel and a few other mutual friends who comforted me a lot that time of loss.
Incidentally, mom Royel was the one who brought me home from church on the day of her funeral when I was a mess and that was the last time I attended a funeral. I cannot believe that now, it's mom Royel's funeral that's impending in the same church. This is so hard 🥺😢

March 11, 2021 when mom Royel took my children and I to the park. 
When I lived in Beltsville, mom Royel would offer to come take my children and I to the park whenever the weather was fine just so they could play/have fun and they loved it.

In loving memory and honor of a beautiful soul, our beloved Lady, Mrs. Royel Wade.

We certainly cherish all the times we shared love, laughter, tears & celebrations… sharing topics on loving our husbands & families. As we impact our communities.

 How you were always engaging and indulged us in most discussions. With honesty and transparencies with take-a-ways! It was very challenging to say so long to you. While you transitioned to your mansion that was prepared for you!

Constant prayers for her beloved Sir Howard Wade, children and families!

Taken by our mother Corrine on July 19th, 1969 (my 6th anniversary of birth--date), near our house @ 309 "K" Street N.E. Washington DC.

"December 2011--One of the nicest things you did, arranging this evening for when Mikey came home for a visit to the DMV while in the US Navy. Don't celebrate Xmas anymore, but having your family and some of my family all together at your house meant a LOT. Especially since all of our offspring were grown and we were Grandmothers too."

My SISTER.......in memory of YOU. Royel, I just cannot believe that you are GONE and I don't fathom it all. You were my older sister, my first friend on Earth, my first playmate, my protector during our childhood. A help/guide in my teen years.  Through the years you were my confidant, and I was yours. We shared the joys and pains of being wives and being mothers and we each cared for each other's children at times.  I have SO MANY MEMORIES of hundreds moments in time we shared, while having you as my sister for 62 years of my life.  From the 1960s into the 2000s.  You were NOT just my older sister, but you and I were best female friends for YEARS. "RC" was my nickname for you, Royel Canty--Wade. I will remember you forever. I will MISS you forever. I will  LOVE you forever. Tears. I pray that you are in the presence of The Most High and His holy angels now and always, I pray that you, my departed daughter Chanté Carswell (1985) and my departed son Mike Carswell Jr (2018) are all TOGETHER.
