JULY 12, 1920 – March 21, 2026
Ruth was a loving wife to Jerry Frieden (her husband of more than 70 years), a loving mother to Esther Strachman and Paul Frieden, a loving mother-in-law to Stephen Strachman and Janet Frieden, a proud and adoring grandmother to Emma and Matthew Strachman, and a loving great-grandmother to Andrew Strachman.
She was devoted to her family, had a gift for enjoying life and laughter, and was extremely self-effacing. She was a kind and good woman.
The funeral and service will be held graveside on Wednesday, at 12:00 p.m., at Garden of Remembrance, 14321 Comus Road, Clarksburg, Maryland.
Shiva will be held at Congregation Beth El, 8215 Old Georgetown Road, on Wednesday night, 7:30 to 9:00 p.m., with a prayer service at 8:20 p.m., and on Thursday night, 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., with a prayer service at 8:00 p.m.
