Dr. Dillingham was born in Louisville, Kentucky and grew up in Bowling Green with loving parents Mary and George Dillingham and sister Susan Dillingham. He excelled scholastically, graduating as valedictorian of his high school class, and went on to graduate Phi Beta Kappa from Wake Forest University in 1992. He earned a master’s degree in Physics and a doctoral degree in Philosophy of Science from Johns Hopkins University in 2003.
Dr. Dillingham worked as a senior analyst for CACI International, Inc, for over 17 years. He was an avid fan of science fiction novels and films and enjoyed travel and sailing. He is survived by his wife Sarah Dillingham and 9-year-old son Thomas Dillingham, also of Silver Spring, his sister Susan Jackson Weatherly, four nieces and two nephews, and many devoted friends and colleagues.
