Born in Uniontown, Alabama, Timothy was the youngest of five children born to Mary Ann Stewart Hill and James “Jimmie” Hill. He was preceded in death by his brothers James Hill and Henry Hill, and is survived by his siblings Juanita Bacon and Vernon Hill, and six children: Timothy Hill Jr., Tracy Elizabeth Hill, Reginald James Hill, Catherine Rose Hill, Stephanie Hill, and Shawn Anthony Hill. His legacy includes nine grandchildren: Gary Maurice Jones, Rome Delante Alexander Hill, Stephon Xavier Hill, Lauren Elizabeth Hill, Alexander Jacob Moyer, Roan Orion Adognravi, Daniel Lodonou Adognravi, Joshua Nusugan Robertson, Marie Sarr N’Dong three great-grandchildren: Audrina Catherine Jones, Mila Marie Jones and Maxwell Joseph Jones, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A proud Vietnam Veteran, Timothy served 13 years in the United States Army, achieving the rank of Sergeant E-6. He was a member of the elite 7th Special Forces Group (Airborne) and served as a Combat Engineer (12B4P). His military career was marked by courage and distinction, earning several honors including the Bronze Star Medal with “V” Device for valor.
In his later years, Timothy deepened his connection with his family and his faith, embracing a renewed relationship with God that brought him peace and purpose. His quiet strength, unwavering loyalty, and deep love for those around him will be remembered and cherished always.

A visitation will be held to celebrate Timothy’s life and legacy September 13, 2025, 4-8 p.m. est. at Hines – Rinaldi Funeral Home, 11800 New Hampshire Ave., Silver Spring, MD 20904. Burial will be held at Arlington Cemetery at a future date.
