

William Paul Frederick Ludtke, Jr., age 88 of Brandywine, WV, formerly of Silver Spring, MD, passed away on Monday, June 15, 2015 at the home of his daughter, Valerie Regina Ruddle and her husband Rusty where he had lived for the past 8 years. He was born in Baltimore, MD on November 27, 1926, the son of the late William Paul Frederick Ludtke, Sr. and the late Helen Magdelene Hammond Ludtke. He was married to Regina Jewel Raybon Ludtke, who preceded him in death on February 7, 1996.
Mr. Ludtke was a 1946 graduate of Polytechnic High School and a 1950 graduate of the University of Maryland. He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Takoma Park, MD and the American Legion. He retired in 1993 after 42 years as an Aeronautical Engineer for the Naval Surface Weapons Center in Silver Spring, MD.
Mr. Ludtke is survived by: 2 daughters, Vivian Michele Eicke and husband John Steven of Silver Spring, MD, Valerie Regina Ruddle and husband Russell Lee “Rusty” of Brandywine; a son, William Paul Frederick Ludtke, III and wife Connie Christene of Williamsburg, VA; 7 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by: 2 brothers, Carl Paul and William Earl; and a great-grandchild.
