HAROLD A. BLACK, D.D.S., passed away peacefully at age 93 with members of his family by his side. Beloved husband for 55 years to the late Frances (nee Miller); devoted father of Dennis (Joyce) and Bennett “Buddy” (Barbara); dear grandfather of Adam (Stephanie), Brian (Heiji) and Rebecca Black; fond great-grandfather of Aidan, Aaron, Cyrus, Sebastian and Thea; faithful companion of Azubike Egwuh. A lifelong Chicagoan, WWII Veteran, he practiced dentistry for almost 60 years, living in South Shore and Hyde Park until moving to Northbrook in 2011. Funeral service Sunday, April 6, 2014, 11:00 a.m. at North Shore Congregation Israel, 1185 Sheridan Road, Glencoe, IL. Interment, Private at Oak Woods Cemetery, Chicago, IL.
