To Ilene's family: Ilene was a mom to me. She was always there to serve comfort when things were crazy in my house or even at Crane. She was a calm in a storm and a dear friend. She is resting in peace!

My heart goes out to the entire family. I too will miss her. The moment we met I knew we would become friends. We always talked about the things we had in common. Considering her serious illness she was always concerned about everyone else. She always retained a positive attitude. She'll always be remembered.

My condolences to the whole family.  Ilene and I met when we were 3 years old.  We shared "playdates" with our children as they were growing up.  Our husbands were to football games together while we took the kids to movies. We were in touch, out of touch, over the years.  I have the best memories of our times spent together.  May she rest in peace.

I read the many heartfelt tributes to this kind and well-loved woman, and had an immediate sense of the loss and sadness shared by all of Ilene's colleagues here at John Crane. I too share those feelings. Simply said, she left her lasting mark on everyone she met and will be missed by all. My heartfelt condolences go out to the entire family on Ilene's untimely passing.

I was deeply saddened to learn of Ilene's passing. This wonderful lady who always took that extra effort to assist the engineering group. She would drop off our mail, order us supplies, type various documents, arrange the social events, plan the holiday parties making all feel a close part of the John Crane family in addition to the normal corporate world activities. Ilene was my good friend and fellow employee. I knew her for many years, she was a very kind and understanding person. she wore many different hats, but always had the time for you if you needed help, advice or just to talk with about a family problem or your grandchildren. she was a very wise and charming lady with endless amounts of energy. Ilene will be missed greatly by all her family, friends and especially myself.

Ilene will be missed by all her friends at Crane current and retirees.  She was a kind and caring person.  We loved talking about our Grandkids as we both had twins in common.  I am sure the wonderful memories of a mother and grandmother will sustain you through this difficult time.  God Bless

Ilene was such a wonderful lady. So sweet to all that knew her or worked with her at JC.  Loved to talk about her grandchildren all the time and will truly be missed by all she knew.

My condolences to the family.  Ilene was a classmate of mine at the Penn School on Chicago's great vest side.  As 13/14 year olds we had a great group and Ilene was part of it.  I may have a picture taken at a party at her parent's apartment on 18th street.  Sorry that we did not keep in touch over the years.

Ilene was a wonderful person. Always up beat, willing to help you in anyway and had a great sense of humor. I will miss her humor and friendship. May she rest with the Lord in comfort and peace. Condolences and prayers to all of her family.

This brings sadness to my heart, you were such a strong woman and shared so many stories with me the short time I knew you, you quickly became friends with me when I started at John Crane, always thinking of my children and bringing little surprises for my little girl. Ilene will be remembered for her never ending kindness towards others, her warm smile, and her sense of humor. She was always ready to lend a helping hand. Ilene was a great lady and will be missed. Rick and I had the pleasure of knowing her a long time. Our sincere condolences to Scott, Sheri, and the entire family. We will miss her dearly.

We lost a dear friend and I have worked with Ilene for a very long time.   We continued are friendship after she retired and remained good friends.  Ilene Weinberg will be deeply missed by everyone who new her.   It has sadden me very much to hear this news about Ilene.  So very sad.   May she rest in piece.
