Ann E. Floyd Booth

LUDLOW, Mass. -- Ann E. Booth, 71, of Chicopee, Mass., passed away on March 24, 2011, in Springfield, Mass., surrounded by her family. Born in Skowhegan, Maine, on Sept. 5, 1939, she was the daughter of George B. and Ethel May (Bowen) Floyd.

Ann graduated from Skowhegan High School in the class of 1958. Following graduation, she moved to Ludlow, Mass., where she raised her family of five children. She worked as a supervisor in the textile industries in the Springfield, Mass., area for many years. She owned and operated an in-home daycare business in the '90s, which brought her much joy.

Ann was known as a huge sports buff and enjoyed playing bingo, bowling, fishing, traveling with her family. She loved spending time with her family and pets.

She is survived by five children: Debbie Hebert and her husband, Lee, of Waterville, Ran-dee Booth of Chicopee, Mass., Lisa Roger and her husband, Frank, of Ludlow, Mass., Kevin Booth and his wife, Susan, of South Hadley, Mass., and Eric Booth of Chicopee, Mass.; one brother, Walter Floyd, of Skowhegan; her ex-husband, Richard W. Booth, of Chicopee, Mass.; 10 grandchildren: Derek, April, Kristopher, Sara, Chelsea, Kertasea, Joseph, Ashley, Casey and Aubrey; four great-grandchildren: Haileigh, Tyler, Penny and Brady; several nieces and nephews, and many cousins and friends.

She was predeceased by her parents; and one brother, Thomas Floyd.

Visiting hours will be held Tuesday, March 29, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Smart & Edwards Funeral Home, 183 Madison Ave., Skowhegan. A funeral service will follow visitation at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Mark Tanner officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in the East Skowhegan Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Smart & Edwards Funeral Home.
