She was born October 4, 1950 in Hartland, Maine, the daughter of Howard J. Annis Jr. and Arrietta (Chadbourne) Annis.
Brenda was educated in the Harmony schools.
She married Paul LaGross Sr., on October 27, 1967 in Harmony, Maine.
She worked for Linkletter and Sons in Athens, Maine, she also sewed shoes from home for Dexter Shoe Company in Dexter for many years. Brenda spent many years taking care of her grandchildren.
Brenda loved horses whether it be raising them or going to watch them race and at one time she owned a race horse. She enjoyed wallpapering and doing interior design. Brenda also enjoyed crocheting, and loved to play bingo.
Brenda enjoyed the many cars that Paul would build for drag racing at Oxford and Winterport drag ways.
She always put her kids first and her greatest joy was spending time with her family and making sure they were taken care of.
She leaves her husband Paul of 50 years of Harmony; her daughters, Karen Buzzell and her husband Clarence Jr. of Garland, Jen Chapman and her husband Brady of Skowhegan; her son, Paul “Scooby” LaGross Jr. of Harmony; her 7 grandchildren, Matthew, Jessica, Brittany, Jacob, Zachary, Chase and Wyatt; her five great-granddaughters; her sisters Maxine Hardy and Linda Hudson both of Harmony; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents and her baby brother Wendall.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday September 23, 2018 at 2 p.m. at the North Road Cemetery in Harmony, Maine.
