

Skowhegan – Caleb E. Roy, 29, who sometimes would go by the alias of “Paddler Fred” or “Freddie Fungi,” passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 15, 2021. Caleb was born in Waterville on January 26, 1992, the son of Rebecca McAnistan and Allen Roy.
Caleb’s legacy he leaves behind should resonate with his friends and family, as he would always looked out for others and he just wanted everyone to be happy. He was an individual that would give the shirt off his back for anyone and had a heart and soul of gold. He always looked forward to meet new people and to go to festivals around the state. He was a creative mind who loved art, fashion, cars, animals, being outside in the wilderness and more importantly, spending time with his family, especially his niece whom he adored.
Caleb will be deeply missed by his mother, Rebecca McAnistan and her husband Peter; his father Allen Roy and his wife Angela; his fiancé, Jaidlyn Maley; his brothers, Robert Roy and his significant other Brittany Labbe and Mike Roy; his niece, McKenna Roy; step-siblings, Jason Hart and Courtney Morton, Cara McAnistan and Peter McAnistand Jr, his grandparents, Robert and Mary Pressey and Christine and Scott Adams.
There will be a Celebration of Caleb’s life will be held at Harry Brown Farm, 45 Abijah Hill Rd, Starks, ME on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at 3PM.
