

Connie was born on Jan. 15, 1931 in Waterville, the daughter of the late Harvey “Crow” Dostie and Violette (Rancourt) Dostie. Connie raised her family of five children with her late husband George “Mike” Jordan in Skowhegan.
Connie was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. For those who knew Connie, they know her true passion was her family and spending time with them. She especially she loved preparing “Sunday Dinner” each week for the entire Jordan clan. She also enjoyed playing Bingo, reading and crocheting afghans for all of her family.
Aside from raising her family, Connie worked for many years at Norwalk Shoe in Skowhegan and later as a cook at; Pine Tree Restaurant, Cedar Ridge Nursing Home and Ken’s Family Restaurant.
For the past five years Connie has been a resident at Cedar Ridge Nursing Care Facility where she stayed very active and respectively earned the title of the “Bingo Queen.”
Connie is survived by her children; Jen Goforth and husand Les, Debbie Meng, Barbara Cotta and husband Don, sons Michael and wife Dyane, Joe and wife Susan; grandchildren, Marsha Toth, Chad Partridge, Laurie Whitcomb, Bekki Meng, Julia Turner, Danya Cummings, Deryck Beliveau, Dayle Jordan and Genia Aronson-Reed; 10 great-grandchildren; sister Zilda Champagne; brothers; William (Billy), Vincent and Richard (Ricky) Dostie.
In addition to her parents and husband, Connie is predeceased by her brother David and sisters Maureen Champagne, and Pauline Bartlett.
Visiting Hours will be held on Monday Feb. 1, 2016 from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Smart & Edwards Funeral Home, 183 Madison Ave., Skowhegan, Maine, with the funeral service to follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
A special thank you to the staff at Cedar Ridge for taking such great care of Connie for the past several years -and a very special thank you to the wonderful staff at RFGH for the compassion and care they provided Connie and her family in the last few days of her life.
