

She was born January 14, 1917 in Linneus, Maine, the daughter of the late Daniel Hatfield and Virgie (Coyle) Hatfield.
Ella grew up and lived in Houlton until she was 16, then moved to Madison where she later met and married Albert “Pete” Miller, they had 3 children together.
She was a homemaker for most of her life, along with working at Great Northern Paper as a paper tester for 10 years.
On May 1st 1959 she married Gordon “Keith” Emery at the Methodist Church in Madison. They were married for 39 years before his death in 1998.
Ella was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She had many hobbies which include sewing, knitting, gardening, playing cards, cooking, enjoying her summers entertaining on Moose Pond, and taking care of countless grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was always busy; no grass grew under her feet.
She is survived by one son Fredrick Miller and his wife Carol of Canton, MA, many grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brother Vern Hatfield, a sister Neddie Hatfield Sutter and two sons, Almon Miller and Norman Miller Sr. and her daughter in-law Shirley Miller.
A graveside service will be held in the spring.
