

Gerard was born April 13, 1957, the son of William and Marie-Ange Forgue. Gerard graduated from Forest Hills High School, Class of 1975. After graduation, Gerard attended U.M.F. then enlisted with the United States Air Force. He served our country for four years. Upon returning to Maine, Gerard attended UMF and UMO and graduated with a Master's in History and Political Science.
He had a passion for history and was a founder and board member at the Jackman Museum and came up for the 25th anniversary last year.
He married Tammy Jo Martin in Jackman in 1987. Gerard and Tammy had twins, Shantelle and Nathan born on 6/23/1988.
Gerard was an amazing father to his children. He would spend many hours with them in every activity you can imagine! He was Grandpa G. to two adorable grandchildren Ariana and James, and every spare moment he had the grandchildren were with him.
He was employed by the State of Maine for more than 15 years. At times he was a travelling clerk for many districts, including Bangor and Skowhegan.
Gerard is survived by his wife, Tammy, children Shantelle and her husband Ron B., and his son Nathan. His two grandchildren will never forget their Grandpa G. He's survived by his grandchildren Ariana and James, brothers Wilfred, Roger and Roland, Sisters Angeline, Ange-Aimee, Theresa, Nancy, Juliette and Cecile, also numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his father William and mother Marie-Ange, brother Mike and sister Lorraine.

Per the family's request, there will be no visitation hours.
A graveside service will be held at the Fairview Cemetery in Canaan, Maine, on August 24th at 2:00 P.M. There will be a reception at Canaan Calvary Church following the burial.
