

He was born December 10, 1957 in Skowhegan, Maine, the son of Carleton R. and Marilyn (Burwood) Mosher.
John was educated in Skowhegan High School.
John married the former Blanche Megill on November 21, 1987, in Oakland, Maine.
He spent many years driving school bus for his father; John also, worked in the woods with horses, and drove truck for Donald Gurney, until he became disabled.
John enjoyed picking and eating his mother in-law’s berries, going to “Camp Wally World” near Moxie Falls, and loved taking trips with this wife and soul mate Blanche. He also loved pulling ponies at the local fairs with his father. He enjoyed mud running, four wheeling, and stock cars. John and his niece took very good care of his father in his father’s last year.
He is survived by his wife Blanche of 24 years of Smithfield, his daughter: Amy Church of Skowhegan, his two step-sons: Tommy Prentiss of Belgrade and Mark Prentiss of Norridgewock, his granddaughters: Cierra and Tayler Prentiss, his siblings: David Mosher of Smithfield, Harold Mosher and his wife Carmen of Smithfield, Sharon Nelson and her husband Brian of Canaan, special brother in-law: Mark Megill of Belgrade, his mother in-law: Joan Megill of Belgrade, special niece: Cricket Vantuinen and her husband Sam of Belgrade and great niece Leah, as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents: Carleton and Marilyn Mosher.
A memorial service will be held on Friday March 16, 2012 at 2 p.m. at the Norridgewock Baptist Church, Main Street, Norridgewock, Maine. Burial will take place later when his wife passes.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Smart & Edwards Funeral Home, 183 Madison Ave., Skowhegan, Maine.
