

She was born in Presque Isle, Maine and raised in Skowhegan, Maine, the daughter of Samuel L. Collins and Brenda (Closson) Collins.
She graduated from Skowhegan Area High School in the class of 1985. She then entered the United States Air Force for four years and received rank as sergeant.
She was a pillar of the hospital community at Redington Fairview General Hospital after nearly 27 years of service. She loved her job at the hospital.
Lisa was a passionate lover of plants and loved going to greenhouses, she enjoyed going to camp, boating and her nightly ride around the pond.
She had a unique sense of humor and deep sense of caring and will be missed by all who knew her. She loved spending time with her family, especially Kaitlyn and Brittany.
She is survived by her husband, Michael Iafrate of Skowhegan; her mother Brenda J Collins of Skowhegan; her daughters, Kaitlyn M. and Brittany N. Iafrate both of Skowhegan; her sister, Samantha J. Haff and her husband Andrew of Boxbourgh, MA; two nieces, Alexis and Lucy; one nephew, Samuel; her two uncles, David Closson and companion Cindy Berry of Kenduskeag, and Lawrence Closson and his wife Marjorie of Bangor
She was predeceased by her dad Samuel Collins and her grandparents Russell and Geraldine Closson.
A graveside service will be held on Friday June 30, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the E. Skowhegan Cemetery, Oak Pond Rd., Skowhegan, Maine, with a gathering to follow the service.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Smart & Edwards Funeral Home, 183 Madison Ave., Skowhegan, Maine.
