

She was born December 25, 1927 in China, Maine, the daughter of Michael L. Blair and Alice N. May (Bowen) Whitehouse.
She was educated in Weeks Mills Schools.
Louise married her first husband Colby Allen Tuttle Jr on December 15, 1944 in Skowhegan, he died in 1989. She then married Arthur J Murphy in 1993, he died in 2004. Her current companion was Ernest Merry, they have been together for eleven years.
She worked for Norrwock Shoe Company in Norridgewock as a sole layer for many years, she then worked for Wilton Manufacturing for several years and she also worked for the Skowhegan State Fair Association with her sister-in-law Shirley Blodgett for 42 years.
She enjoyed traveling, playing cards, POW WOWS, going to fairs, and her cowboy shows in harmony for many years, she was a member of the Chippewa Indian Tribe out of Minnesota.
She is survived by her five children, Paula Burgess and her companion Reuben Byler of Smithfield, Audrey Naraine and her companion Troy Beerman of Anson, Patricia Tuttle and her companion James Fletcher of Skowhegan, Donna Holmes of Skowhegan, Michael Tuttle and his wife Claire of Mercer, 17 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husbands, two children, Rosemarie Wentworth, Colby A Tuttle III, two brothers, George Blair and Edward Blair, four sisters, Ida Plummer, Myrtie Ellis, Doris Tims and Barbara Blair.
Viewing hours will be held on Thursday January 14, 2016 from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Smart & Edwards Funeral Home, 183 Madison Ave., Skowhegan, Maine, a funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. A committal service will be held in the spring at the Gould Cemetery in Smithfield.
