Shirley Leeman

Shirley attended Garrett Schenck Elementary School and graduated from Madison Memorial High School, class of 1956.

Shirley married Robert Leeman on April 11, 1958 in North Anson and built a life together in Anson. She devoted her life to raising their four children. Shirley will be remembered as a caring and loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

Shirley was known for her impeccable flower gardens, baking her special coffee bars and her quick wit. She enjoyed crocheting gifts for her loved ones.

Shirley was a member of the Presbyterian church of Northern New England.

Shirley was predeceased by her husband Robert Leeman, her parents and her siblings, Christine, Gilbert, and Howard.

Shirley is survived by her four children; Carol Haulk, Diane Leeman, Steven Leeman, Richard Leeman, and their spouses. She also leaves behind grandchildren, Nathaniel Phillips, Amanda Chick, Holly Pond, Josh, Chad, and MaKayla Leeman, as well as many great grandchildren and beloved nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday September 7, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the Athearn Cemetery, Rte. 43 Anson, Maine, with the Rev. Dr. Nathaniel Phillips officiating. A gathering of family friends will be at the home of Richard and Jamie Leeman following the graveside service.
