Hannah Elizabeth Lloyd, born October 22, 1920, quietly departed on September 25, 2013 at her home at Paradise Lake, Woodinville, WA. A daughter of David John Lloyd & Vivian Evelyn Brown, she was born and raised on the pioneer farm established by her Welsh grandparents. She was educated at Maltby and was a graduate of Snohomish High School at age 15. Employed at Aetna Insurance in Seattle until retirement, she spent the remainder of her years contentedly with her sister Jessie and brother Davey on the family farm until their passing.
Elizabeth delighted in telling about her childhood joys. Helen, her loving care giver, relatives and friends brought sunshine and smiles during her final years. She was the oldest inactive member of the First Congregational Church and Ladies Aid at Maltby. The words of songs learned there still flowed even as her memory faded.
Gifts in memory of Elizabeth and the Lloyd family may be made to the following: To support the Lloyd Family Farmstead please make checks to Snohomish County Parks & Recreation and note “Lloyd Family Farmstead” at Snohomish County Parks Administration, 705 Puget Park Drive, Snohomish, WA 98196, and to Elizabeth’s long-time church please make checks to First Congregational Church of Maltby and note “In Memory of Hannah Elizabeth Lloyd”, 2111 86th Ave. SE, Snohomish, WA 98296.
