Jean M. Zimmerman

She was married to Albert Zimmerman in 1946 and they spent 61 loving years together. Her devoted love for God was shown throughout her life as she served alongside her husband as missionaries with the Church of Christ for nearly 30 years in Cape Town, South Africa and thereafter in the States.

Jean was an accomplished pianist and passed this love of music onto all of her children. She cherished her family and the many friendships that developed over the years on two continents.

She is survived by her children, Stephen (Sana) Cape Town, South Africa, Dr. John Mark (Anne) Oregon and Sara (Victor) Shaw, Grand Rapids, Michigan. her grandchildren, Kent (Jen), Kyle, Brice (Louise); and their mother, Pat. Her grandchildren, Michael, Tabitha, Charity (Josh), Joshua, Bethany, Jonathan; and their mother, LaVilla.

A special thanks to Jim and Beth Repnik (her caretakers) of Monroe WA, also Ann and Don Neuenschwander who spent most of the 30 years as their forwarding agents and Shirley and Jim Neuenschwander who continued as forwarding agents to them until they retired.

A Memorial Service will be held at Central Christian Church in Snohomish, WA at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 28, 2012.
