Joan Lorraine Kakalecik

Joan L. Kakalecik (Cochran), born January 24, 1946, passed away November 9, 2013. Joan was 67 years old and taken way too soon. She was an amazing wife, mother, and grandmother as well as sister, aunt, and loving friend to many. She is preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Ruth Cochran.

Joan leaves behind her husband of 46 years, James Kakalecik of Snohomish, WA; daughter, Christine Kakalecik; grandson, Mitchell McCulley from Snohomish; son, Anthony (Terri) Kakalecik; granddaughters, Emma and Kate Kakalecik of Lake Stevens, WA and Whitney Brown of Cheney, WA; grandson, Tyler Brown of Bothell, WA; sister, Judy (John) Van Eyk of Leavenworth, WA; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Joan was such a loving and giving person. She would do anything to make others happy before herself. She loved going “East” to their cabin and loved to thrift shop and decorate anything and everything, she could spray paint anything to look new again. She loved the simple things and always had a smile on her face. Most of all, she loved her family and her grandchildren, they meant the world to her. She will be missed every day until we see her again.
