

Robert Edward Pichler passed away amidst loved ones on September 18, 2013. Born in Genesee, Wisconsin on October 30, 1937 to Edward and Marie Pichler, he was the oldest of three children, his siblings being his sisters, Joanie Dinsdale and Sharon (Tootsie) Crosby. He moved to Cathcart, Washington in the winter of 1944 where he attended grade school and unknowingly met his future wife, Jeannine, before he moved to Maltby in 1946. They were reunited at Snohomish High School and upon graduation he proposed to her. They then married July 26, 1957. Happily married for 55 years they had four children, Wayne, Lynda, Darrell, and Dean; 11 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren. Being a career welder he worked for Bethlehem Steel on the Space Needle, then Western Gear, and finally Nickelson Steel while running his own business, Bob's Welding. His passions in life were found in nature, family, and friends. An avid outdoorsman, he always included his family in fishing and hunting, creating traditions that will continue. Beyond all else he cherished his family. He is now with those that have passed before him. He will be deeply missed. Viewing will be held Friday, September 27th, 4-7 p.m. at Bauer Funeral Chapel. The funeral service will be held Saturday, September 28th at 1:00 p.m. at Bauer Funeral Chapel in Snohomish, 701 1st St., Snohomish, WA 98290. Graveside services will be held immediately after at GAR Cemetery, 8601 Riverview Rd., Snohomish, WA 98290. Everyone who would like to attend is invited to come to his celebration of life at his and Jeannine's home in Arlington at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 5th.
