Cris was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother, whose wit and spark will long remain with all those whose life she touched. Never static, she continually improved herself and sharpened her amazing mind with new challenges and iterations of herself: a teacher, a lawyer, a business owner. One of those rare “90-Somethings” that was technologically savvy and mentally sharp, she would text to stay in touch; dropping interesting, amusing observations and anecdotes about life (and aging) into all our devices every day.
She came to learn about God at the age of 5, when she would walk, all by herself, to an evangelist’s tent on the beach of Whitefish lake, (where she was born and raised). She learned the Bible, (and received her first!) by winning a “Verse Memorization” contest that summer. She then came into the Catholic Church at age 90, during a pandemic, in another outdoor tent, (this one pitched in a parking lot), with a water bowl as a baptismal. It was fitting. Nothing about her was routine. She was, in a word, amazing. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Britton, and is survived by her only child, Lindsay Nesheim, and her two grandsons: Britton and Aric Nesheim. Beloved also by her son-in-law Michael Nesheim, and with all whom she worked, lived and laughed, she has left a hole in our hearts…and our text feeds!
We love you Crissey V.
