Wally...
You and I know the stories we shared. We even knew when we were exaggerating ...a bit. That is what "old men" do. I will miss you until my time comes to walk on clouds...with you. 
Many years ago you said something to me that "stuck." "John, never tell our neighbors what they should think or should do. Give them the options. They will always make the right choice."
Save a cloud for me, Wally.

Wally was of great benefit to all who knew or worked with him to make WSHFA a remarkable association and experience.  I remember his presence, questions, booming voice and remarkable sense of humor. His spirit was generous and genuine. I will miss him.

Wally was an icon.  I vividly remember him telling us at a WHCA meeting "that even a blind pig sometimes finds a peach in the orchard."  He always made me laugh and that is a very important talent.

Wally was a big man with a big heart, not afraid to step on toes that needed it and always caring.  I loved the man.

Chris, Carol & Mike & Donna, I am so sorry to hear of Wally's passing.  He was a great man that certainly made a big difference in many people's lives.

Such a nice man with great stories to tell. His presence is missed at Delta.

Chris & family: Please accept our condolences on the passing of Wally. As a former colleague in the long term care industry, I saw how everyone benefited from the efforts of Wally.  He was truly a titan when it came to improving care for residents and sharing his knowledge with others to improve our industry standards. He will be greatly missed.

I have known Wally for many years, first as a neighbor and then as a community leader that I admired very much.  If Wally was passionate about a cause then there was no holding him back and his enthusiasm was infectious.  THe City of Snohomish will not be the same without him but is certainly a better place because of him!

I am so sorry!  The Chalet, and all of Snohomish, were very lucky to have known this great, kind, loving man.  He will be greatly missed.  I have very good memories of Wally.  I'm sure my daughter, Charlene, in heaven, is happy to see him.

Wally was always such a sweet heart. My favorite memory is EVERY year during Christmas, knowing wally would come in to McDaniel's. He would buy the Christmas village sets, it was so sweet and memorable. Rest In Peace, Buddy. Praying for you Donna & Family.

So sorry to hear of Wally's passing.  My parents thought very highly of him over the years.  Your in my thoughts and prayers.

Long before working with Wally on Snohomish Chamber events, Wally and Donna were neighbors, great friends to my parents and a man who was fascinated me with his stories and his great vision. Wally was the person in the crowd that you knew had an answer.  When there was a problem or need in our community Wally would act.  Wally was a mentor to so many people, a true friend and I will miss him so very much!  My love to Donna and the rest of the family, I know you will grieve, but oh what a legacy this man has left! The loss of his presence is sad, but no man could have left more precious memories.

Wally will be missed by everyone who knew him. He was an inspiration to others, and his legacy will live on in the community.

Wally and Donna were and are our beloved neighbors for 36 years. Whether it be a giant Santa or making wreathes. May you rest in peace.
