Barbara was born November 3, 1940 to Harold and Burnice (Belanger) Malone in Superior, Wisconsin.
Barbara was raised in Eau Claire where she met her husband Gene. They were united in marriage February 27, 1960 and later raised their family in Madison. Barbara & Gene relocated in 1987 back to her childhood memories near Superior. A devoted Mother and Community Member, Barb dedicated her life to her children; showing them a world of adventure, love and compassion. She never met a stranger, and endeared herself to all who knew her. She taught her children to love each moment of life and to give of themselves to others. She spent much of her time volunteering throughout the community, from St. Mary’s Hospital to her churches in various communities. Barbara was a self-taught musician; playing both the accordion and keyboard. She loved to travel, and managed to continue this love through much of her 7 year battle with cancer. Her strong will and the belief in prayer resonate through us all.
Among those who survive and gratefully shared her life is her beloved husband Eugene of Solon Springs, WI; Children; Bea (Kieth) Missar of Manassas, VA; Bill (Tammy) Risler of Greenbush, WI; Terri (Pete) Leiser of Lake Worth, FL: and her adored grandchildren Joshua, Jasmine, Kyle, Gregory, Alex, Julie, Ellie, Angel, Katie, Ryan & Santos; her most precious Great Grandson Jordan, and her brothers Ed Malone (Paula) and Dave Malone (Mikelle). She is preceded in death by her parents.
