

Adolfo “Adolph” Bertelli, 74, of Fairmount, passed away Saturday August 13, 2011 at his home following a long struggle with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease). Born in Preore (Trento), Italy, he immigrated to Solvay in 1948. He retired from New Process Gear in 2000 after 27 years as a union electrician. He was a member of the Solvay Tyrol Club, Solvay-Geddes Veterans and a past member of the Moose Club. Adolph was a bowler at the Solvay Recreation Alley’s for many years and was an avid golfer at Westvale CC and other courses in Onondaga County. He was predeceased by his wife Theodora “Teddy”, his parents, Pietro and Maria Bertelli, his brother Claude and sister Gianna.
He is survived by 3 sons; David, of Jamesville, Michael, of Belvidere, Il. and Paul, of Weedsport, a brother; Adrian, of N Syracuse, 4 grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 9:15 am Wednesday August 17th at BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME and 10 am at Holy Family Church, Fairmount, where a funeral Mass will be celebrated. Entombment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Warners. Calling hours are from 4 to 7 pm Tuesday August 16th at the funeral home, 2601 Milton Ave.
