Mr. Aldo R. Salvagni

Aldo R. Salvagni, 84, of Solvay, passed away Wednesday at Iroquois Nursing Home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Syracuse, he attended Solvay High School. He was employed by Cramers Laundry for many years. Also, Atlas Linen, Plaza Nursing Home & Solvay Geddes Youth Center. He was an avid bowler & secretary of Seneca Lanes. He loved being the manager of the Solvay Tyrol Club Softball Team for many years. Aldo was a member of the Solvay Tiger AC, Community Youth Center, Tyrol Club & Holy Name Society of St. Cecilia’s Church. His passions included spending time with and caring for his large, loving family, gardening & growing his special garlic to share with everyone. Aldo was pre-deceased by his mother Eva, his father Battista, his brother Remo & infant twin brother & sister.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, the former Ann Lalla, his 2 daughters; Donna (Richard) Blanchard, of Solvay; Diana (Steve) Hunter, of Syracuse, 2 sons; Robert (Joni) Salvagni, of Solvay and Mark (Joyce) Salvagni, of Solvay, 13 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins and many close special friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 18th in BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME. Entombment will follow in St. Mary’s Mausoleum, DeWitt. Calling hours are from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 17th at the funeral home, 2601 Milton Avenue.
