Alexander F. Noce, Sr., 89, of Elbridge, passed away Saturday at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Born in Solvay, he was a US Army Air Force Veteran of WW II. He proudly served his country at the Battle of the Bulge, serving with the 492nd Fighter Squadron. He was a mechanic for the West Genesee School District for many years before retiring. Alexander was a life member of both the Stanley B. Pennock VFW Post 2893 and of the Veteran’s of the Battle of the Bulge, and a past communicant of St. Cecilia Church.
He is survived by his wife, the former Eleanor Severin, 3 sons; Alexander Jr., of Memphis, Edward, of Fairmount and Gary, of Vestal, 3 daughters; Carol Vryhof, of Fairmount, Juanita Fernandez, of Maine and Jacqueline Holbert, of Jordan, a sister; Mary DeCirce, of Baldwinsville, 5 step-children; Donna (Joe) Scuderi, of Syracuse, Peter (Stacy) Severin, of Memphis, Kim Severin, of TX, Mike (Paula) Severin, of Jordan and Terry (Wendy) Severin, of Jordan 18 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 15 step grandchildren, 3 step great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 8:15 am Wednesday June 8th at BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME and 9 am at St. Cecilia Church, where a funeral Mass will be celebrated. Burial will be in the Onondaga County Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, Syracuse. Calling hours are from 4 to 7 pm Tuesday June 7th at the funeral home, 2601 Milton Ave.
