George "Joe" Revette

George J. "Joe" Revette, 75, formerly of Solvay, passed away Thursday January 31, 2013 at James Square Health and Rehabilitation Centre. Born in Malone, he lived in Solvay most of his life. He was co-owner of Partner’s Inn and worked at Southern Container for 40 years, retiring as a supervisor in 1989. Following retirement he owned and operated Poppa Joe’s Place in Moira. George was a past communicant of St. Cecilia Church and an avid hunter and pool player. He was predeceased by his brothers, Thomas and Felix.

He is survived by a daughter; Mari-Jo (William) Clifford, of Baldwinsville, a son; Daniel (Tina), of Lakeport, 4 grandchildren; Kayla, Kevin and Kyle Revette and Billy Clifford, a sister; Elizabeth Cox, of Malone, his devoted former wife, Mary Revette, of Baldwinsville and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 8:15 am in BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME, Solvay, and 9 am in St. Cecilia Church, where a funeral Mass will be celebrated. Private entombment will be in Assumption Cemetery, Syracuse.

Calling hours are Sunday from 1 to 4 pm at BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME, 2601 Milton Ave.
