Henry F. Reith, 89, of E. Syracuse, passed away Monday at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Born in Syracuse, he attended Syracuse University. He was a US Marine Corps Veteran of World War II, serving in the Asiatic Pacific and participating in action at Iwo Jima. He was a fence erector for many years as owner of Syracuse Wire and Fence Works, Inc., before retiring in 1997. Henry was predeceased by his wife Mabel (LaMontagne) in 2004.
He is survived by 4 daughters; Sandra Boncarosky, of PA, Mary Maloney, of N. Syracuse, Teresa D’Elia, of Cazenovia and Susan Garafolo, of E. Syracuse, 2 sons; Michael Jordan and Frank Reith, both of Syracuse, 16 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, 1 sister; Ermina Martin, of Syracuse, 2 brothers; Charles, of FL and Frank, of Syracuse and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at noon Thursday in BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME, and 1 pm at St. Matthews Church, E. Syracuse, where a funeral Mass will be celebrated. Calling Hours are from 4 to 7 pm Wednesday at the funeral home, 2601 Milton Avenue.
