Our family’s loss is shared by many friends and acquaintances, and there are no words to express our profound grief.
Jim was extremely proud of his Irish heritage and wholeheartedly shared his joy of life and sense of humor with everyone he met. Many were affected by his goodwill and wit.
An avid sportsman, Jim won numerous awards for his expert marksmanship, most notably the World Skeet Shooting Championship. He is a member of the NYS Trap Shooting Hall of Fame.
Lafayette was Jim’s home. He truly loved this area and had a strong bond with the land and nature.
Jim’s daily life was enriched by his many Am.Staff.Terriers over the years.
Jim is survived by his wife, Patricia (Salvagno) Carroll, brother and sister-in-law; Thomas James and Maureen Carroll, of Manchester, CT, sister; Katherine Carroll Porray, of Rochester and many much loved nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
There are no calling hours. A Memorial Mass will be held in the spring. BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME, Solvay, has care of arrangements.
Contributions may be made in his memory to Francis House, 108 Michaels Ave, Syracuse, NY 13208.
