Joe P. King

Joe P. King, 55, of Camillus, passed away peacefully Monday June 11th, 2012 at Strong Memorial Hospital following a long illness that he fought courageously. Joe grew up in Camillus and lived in Marcellus for many years. He was a former soccer goalkeeper and avid golfer. Joe was employed by Anaren Microwave, Inc. in E. Syracuse for 33 years. He enjoyed setting off fireworks at many field days and cooking, however he mostly enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and his loving wife. Joe will be dearly missed by his family and many friends. He was predeceased by his son, Joe P. King, Jr. in 2010.

Surviving are his wife of 32 years, the former Trisha “Dear” Merrill, 4 daughters; Joelle (Steven Kilfoil), of Stratford, Michelle (Alex DiDomenico) and Paige, of Camillus and Courtney, of Skaneateles, 3 grandsons; Tanner, Logan and Steven “Boxcar”, his parents; David and Ellen King, of Camillus, a sister; Cheryl (Chris Hanford) King, 3 brothers; David (Lisa), Steve (Roberta Terpening) and Scott (Susan) King, his mother-in-law; Rosie Merrill and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be conducted at 8:15 am Saturday June 16th in BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME and 9 am at St. Cecilia Church, where a Funeral Mass will be celebrated. Calling hours are from 4 to 7 pm Friday June 15th at the funeral home, 2601 Milton Ave.
