

Joseph G. McClusky, 72, of Fairmount, passed away Thursday, June 4, 2015 at Crouse Hospital. He was born in Syracuse to the late Joseph and Dominica (Haberek) McClusky in 1943 and graduated from Central Tech High School. Joe was an electronics technician at Sears for more than 40 years before retiring. He was an Eagle Scout in 1957, earned the Ad Altare Dei Award from Sacred Heart Church in 1958 and was Scoutmaster of Troop 76 in 1965. His memberships included the “Not So Serious Railroad Club”, Vice President of Camillus Seniors, R.A.G.S., 60 years of Amateur Radio, member and past President of the Amateur Radio Lark Club, recipient of the Lark Ham of the Year award and member of the Solvay Tigers AC and CYC where he could often be seen working BINGO. He was also a member of: American Radio Relay League, and the Quarter Century Wireless Association.
He was a communicant of Holy Family Church and a member and President of its Holy Name Society.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Marie McClusky, 2 daughters; Karen (Dom) Fruscello, of Fairmount and Carol Ann (Ronald) McClusky-Coir, of FL, a granddaughter; Maria Alaina Fruscello and cousin; Greg (Karen) Haberek and other extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 9:15 am Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME and 10:00 am at Holy Family Church, Fairmount, where a Funeral Mass will be celebrated. The Rite of Committal and burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Warners.
