Rose M. (Sackett) Lucio, 89, of Camillus, passed away Friday February 28, 2014 at Crouse Hospital. She was born in Syracuse to the late Biaggio and Assunta (DiLella) Sackett. Rose was a meat wrapper for Super Duper for 10 years before retiring in 1980. She was also a devoted housewife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was predeceased by her husband of 66 years, Tony “Shrimpy” Lucio, in 2007; and 9 brothers and sisters.
She is survived by 4 loving daughters; Toni Jean Louise, of Solvay, Carol Ann Luckette, of Camillus, Jovine (Dennis) DeStefano, of Solvay, and Margie Lucio, of Solvay; a loving son; Anthony (Susan) Lucio III, of Camillus; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and in-laws.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 8:15 am in BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME, and 9:00 am in St. Cecilia Church, where a Funeral Mass will be celebrated. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Warners.
Calling hours are Monday from 4 to 7 pm at BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME, 2601 Milton Ave. Solvay.
