Francis Edmund Foster

Francis E. Foster, age 91, of Somerset, passed away at home surrounded by his family on Wednesday, February 9, 2022. He was the husband of the late Marilyn M. (Hill) Foster. Born in Lynn, MA, he was the son of the late Joseph and Albertine (LaBlanc) Foster. A graduate of Mt. St. Charles Academy in Woonsocket, RI, Francis obtained his Associate’s degree from N. Eastern University. He worked as a Quality Control Engineer for Western Electric for 38 years. A Veteran of the United States Marine Corp., Francis served his country proudly during the Korean War and was an active member of the LCPL John J Van Gyzen Marine Corp. Det. 1285 in Somerset. Frank was an avid gardener and loved to share what he grew with all his friends. He could be found in the mornings at the Country Store with his dog, Goliath in his car. He enjoyed his weekly exercise classes at the Swansea Total Fitness but most of all he was proud to be an American patriot. He is survived by three children, Kellie Parham and her husband Jim of Plymouth, Mark Foster of Somerset and Eric Foster and his wife Patricia of Smithfield, RI as well as three grandchildren, Kristen, Ryan and Nathan Foster.
