H. Dolores Stets

H. Dolores (Butler) Stets, age 82, of Fall River, passed away Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at Sarah Brayton Nursing Care Center. Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late William and Harriet Dolores (Mitcheson) Butler, she was a longtime resident of the Oak Village community.

Dolores loved working as a nurse’s aide at Clifton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Somerset, where she dedicated fifteen years of her life. She devoted herself to caring for her mother and cherished her family deeply. A natural caregiver, Dolores was the most loving mother and a truly nurturing soul. She always put others first and never forgot a birthday, making everyone around her feel remembered and loved.

She is survived by one daughter, Sharon Araujo and her husband Jeffrey of Somerset; three sons, Stephen Stets of Fall River, Scott Stets of Mount Juliet, TN and New Orleans, LA, Sandy Stets and his wife Andrea of Assonet; nine grandchildren, Shannon, Jeffrey, Courtney, Stephen, Holly, Matthew, Kurt, Brady and Eris and many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins, including Father James Butler of Boston. She was the sister of the late Daniel Butler.

Her funeral will be held on Thursday, February 5, 2026, at 10:00AM from the Waring-Sullivan Home of Rose E. Sullivan, 866 County St., Somerset, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00AM in Our Lady of Peace Parish, St. Louis Defrance Church, 56 Buffinton St., Swansea, MA 02777. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00PM. Contributions in her honor may be made to the Clifton Rehabilitation and Nursing Center Activities Fund, 500 Wilbur Ave., Somerset, MA 02725. Burial in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River.
