Born in Fall River daughter of the late James W. and Ivy (Isherwood) Spence, she was a 1956 graduate of Durfee High School. For over 10 years she was employed as a data entry clerk at Newport Naval Base.
Surviving in addition to her husband, two sons James R. Wilbur and Peter E. Wilbur both of Somerset, MA., one daughter Jane E. Oldham of Pembroke, N.H., two brothers John Spence of Pt. Judith RI., and Fl. Benjamin Spence of FL., one sister Brenda Ramsey of Somerset, 3 grandchildren, one great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. Sister of the late Robert, William, Richard Spence and Rhoda Boothroyd.
