

Margaret E. “Peggy” (Gray) Clark, age 85, of Fall River, formerly of Somerset, passed away peacefully on November 20, 2013 while surrounded by her family. She was married for 61 years to the late Dr. Thomas G. Clark.
Born in Fall River in 1928, Peggy was the daughter of the late James F Gray and Margaret (Murphy) Gray. She moved to Somerset in 1957 and returned to Fall River in 2002.
Peggy was a proud graduate of BMC Durfee High School, Class of 1946. After high school, she earned her undergraduate and master’s degrees from Bridgewater State College. Peggy taught school in the surrounding area for a number of years before working with her husband in his optometry practice until 2008. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church in Somerset, the Somerset Women’s Club, and the League of Women Voters. Peggy loved going to Baker's Beach in Westport, swimming at the Fall River YMCA, playing bridge, riding her bicycle, attending classes at the "Second Half," traveling the world with her husband, seeing friends at the "Classy Ladies," and talking with interesting people. Peggy was known for her quick wit, cutting sense of humor, and endless storytelling.
Surviving are her children, Dr. Margaret Clark-Moroff and her husband Richard of Berkley, Elizabeth F. "Lisa" Driscoll and her husband David of Somerset, Joan M. McDonald and her husband Joseph of Swansea, and Thomas G. Clark, Jr. of Fall River; and her grandchildren, Matthew Moroff, Jana Moroff, Patrick Driscoll and his wife Kerri, Meaghan Driscoll, Samantha Clark, Thomas Clark III, Kayleigh McDonald, and Hope McDonald.
The family extends its sincere gratitude to the staff at Autumn Glen in Dartmouth, MA for their attentiveness and caring way during Peggy’s last days.
Her Funeral will be held Saturday, November 23, 2013 at 8:00AM from the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE at ROSE E. SULLIVAN, 866 County St., Somerset, followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:00AM in St. Patrick's Church, 306 South St. Somerset. Visiting hours are Friday, November 22, 2013 from 4:00-7:00PM. .
