Born in Hartford, CT the daughter of the late Thomas F. and Cecile (Hall) Dwyer, she resided in Rutland, VT and Weymouth, MA before settling down in Somerset.
A graduate of Weymouth High School, Class of 1953, she attended accounting courses at Bryant University. An active member of the New Hope Christian Church, she volunteered and was a member of the Bible study group. Ms. Carvalho enjoyed her visits to Portsmouth, RI; taking rides around town and Island Park. A devoted caretaker, she cherished her family.
She is survived by one son, William E. “Billy” Carvalho and his fiancée Deirdre M. Mosher of Cape Coral, FL; two daughters, Susan Bergantini and her companion Tony Weaver of Johnston, RI and Karen Campos and her husband Carlos of Somerset; one sister, Carol DeCosta; five grandchildren, Carlos Campos, Adrienne Blanchet, Nichole Decesare, Jessica McKelvie and Ashley Carvalho; and four great-grandchildren, twins, Cody Michael and Kenneth William McKelvie and Hannah and Lily Blanchet. She was the mother of the late Peter Carvalho and sister of the late Patricia Myers.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at 10:00 AM in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Rose E. Sullivan, 866 County Street, Somerset. Relatives and friends are invited. Visitation is from 9:00 – 10:00 AM prior to the service. Contributions in her honor may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, 320 Nevada Street, Suite 201, Newton, MA 02460. Burial in Nathan Slade Cemetery, Somerset.
