Phyllis L. (Marzilli) Kiley, age 89, passed away comfortably on January 24, 2016 at St. Anne’s Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Christopher Kiley, to whom she had been married for 42 years. Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Enrico Marzilli and Rosina (Fascione) Marzilli. Phyllis was a member of the Women’s Guild of the former Holy Rosary Parish and an active member of the parish before it closed. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was employed at Cherry and Webb, and was later a Department Manager of Peerless. Phyllis is survived by her devoted son David Kiley and his wife, Emily (Welch) Kiley of Swansea, MA, and her beloved daughter Susan (Kiley) Solomon and her husband Daniel, of W. Warwick, RI and GA. She was loved by many, but especially by her four doting grandchildren, Christina (Kiley) Rausch and her husband Edward, of Somerset, Thomas Kiley and his wife, Vanessa (Hector) Kiley, of Warren, RI., Dr. Melissa (Solomon) Darlington and her husband Dr. Andrew Darlington, of GA., and A.J. Solomon and his wife Melinda (Borges) Solomon of W. Warwick, RI. In addition to her grandchildren, “Nana”, as she was so lovingly referred to, enjoyed the privilege of spending many happy hours with her six great-grandchildren: David, Matthew, and Erin Rausch, Lauren and Ryan Kiley, and Danni Darlington. She was happiest during times spent with the family, surrounded by all her children. Phyllis was also widely known for her exquisite embroidery, knitting, and crocheting, and her wonderful Italian cooking, but of all her wonderful qualities, the one most remembered was her devotion to the Blessed Mother. She would light a candle, sit in her chair each and every day, and say the Rosary for every member of the family, whether they were taking a test, playing an important sports game, traveling, weren’t feeling well, or just going through their daily routine. Phyllis will be remembered by many. She is survived by her sister, Theresa (Marzilli) Boisvert, and was predeceased by her brother, Raymond Marzilli. She was the sister-in-law of James Kiley, Charles McClimans, and Claudette Levesque. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at 8:30am from the Waring-Sullivan Home of Memorial Tribute at Rose E. Sullivan, 866 County Street, Somerset followed a Funeral Mass at 11am in Holy Rosary Church, 120 Beattie Street, Fall River.
