

William “Guilherme” S. Pimentel, age 76, of Dighton, passed away Thursday, February 12, 2026, at his residence surrounded by his family. He was the husband of Maria de Lourdes (Albernaz) Pimentel; to whom he had been married for the past 51 years.
William was born in Santo António, São Miguel, Azores, Portugal. He immigrated to the United States in 1973, moving to Fall River, where he lived for many years before relocating to Dighton in 2008.
Educated in Portugal, he served in the Portuguese Armed Forces. He worked at Joann Fabrics and Belcher Corporation, in addition to spending many years as a landscaper. He was a devoted Benfica soccer fan who enjoyed the fresh air and being outdoors. Most of all, he cherished spending time with his beloved family.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Jeffrey Pimentel and is wife Alicia, one daughter, Kelly Vieira and her husband Kevin all of Dighton; two brothers, José Pimentel and his wife Evelina of Quebec, Canada, Daniel Pimentel of Fall River; five grandchildren, Logan Pimentel, Lauren Shepard and her husband Evan, Emily Pimentel, Megan and Andrew Vieira and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Maria Helena Aguiar, Alda, João and Antonio Pimentel.
His visitation will be held on Thursday, February 19, 2026, from 8:15 to 9:15AM in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Rose E. Sullivan, 866 County St., Somerset, followed by his Funeral Mass at 10:00AM in St. Nicholas of Myra Church, 499 Spring St., Dighton. Relatives and friends invited. Contributions in his honor may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Burial in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Somerset.
