Carlos R. "Los" Ventura, age 71, of Dartmouth passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 29th, 2023. Born in Acushnet MA, he was the loving son of the late Carl R. Ventura and the late Mary (Athyade) Ventura. Carlos was a graduate of Dartmouth High School, and later went on to receive a Bachelors degree from Providence College.
Carl worked as a skilled carpenter for the last 45 years, sharing his talents in the communities within the metro Boston and Providence area. He was a true artist at heart and would use his talents in restoring unwanted furniture, and in doing so he would create refurbished pieces of art which he thoughtfully gifted to family and friends.
He was a lover of animals of all sorts but he particularly enjoyed raising and training dogs, which he did for most of his life. He was a self-taught musician who loved playing his guitar for anyone who would listen. He also had a passion for writing beautiful poetry for any occasion that truly touched him. Carl was an avid gardener who clearly loved creating various styles of gardens, for he sincerely appreciated and embraced what mother nature had to offer.
He never shied away from hard work and will be remembered by his extended family and dearest friends for his heartfelt convictions, for his joy of life, and for his profound sense of thoughtfulness. Undeniably, he lived his life to its fullest while always being grateful for the simple things that life had to offer.
