Eyleen Margaret Schmidt, 43 passed away on June 4, 2018 in Gainsville, FL after a second battle with metastatic breast cancer. She is the daughter of Mark Schmidt and the late Lois Schmidt of Dartmouth. Other survivors include a brother Jay Schmidt, wife Stacey, niece Sydney, nephew Cameron, a sister, Katie Schmidt and her huband Peter Roderiques.
Eyleen was a graduate of American University, Washington D.C. After AU is when she kicked off 20 plus years of adventure. Eyleen started out as an official spokeswomen for the INS department and also learned how to spin records as DJ Tarte!
She then transitioned into education and received an elementary education degree at UMass Dartmouth. In 2006 Eyleen sought out yearlong warmth and new adventures by moving to Florida. She was most recently teaching 2nd grade at Hart 2 Hart Academy, Lake City. Eyleen had a passion for reading and enjoyed sharing this with all her students
She was also a Universal theme park season pass holder. She love all roller coasters and all things Harry Potter.
Eyleen was a women with many talents. She was famous to her friends and family for her delicious baking treats. She also enjoyed making bath and beauty products for her friends/family. Eyleen was an extraordinary, kind, bright and giving women. She will be missed by many friends and family.
Her memorial service will be held on Friday, June 22, 2018 at 6:30PM in the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME at DARTMOUTH, 230 Russells Mills Road, Dartmouth. Visitation is prior from 5:00 to 6:30PM.
