Harry Richard Brehaut

Harry was born in Dartmouth, a son of the late Ernest L. and Dorothy (Green) Brehaut and was a lifelong resident of Dartmouth. He graduated from Dartmouth High School in 1960 and worked for 31 years as the Assistant Manager with Mendell Electric in Dartmouth and then worked for several years at Niemiec Marine in Fairhaven. He was a Retired Captain of Fire District 2, volunteering for many years with Dartmouth Fire Department.

An outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing and camping with his family and spending time with his dog, Marlin. He was also handy and always there to help friends and family.

In addition to his wife of 52 years, he is survived by a son, John P. Brehaut and his wife Laurie, and 2 daughters, Jane B. Phair and Betsy J. Araujo, all of Dartmouth; 7 grandchildren, Crystal, Jessica, James, Joseph, Mary, Victor and Evelyn and 2 great-grandchildren, Katie and Nathan all of Dartmouth; 3 brothers, Ernest Brehaut and his wife, Alice of AZ, and Kenny and his wife, Terry and Peter Brehaut both of Dartmouth; 1 sister Marilyn Pires and her husband, Gary of Dartmouth. He was also the brother of the late Thomas Brehaut. He also had several nieces and nephews.
